Belazu create chef-quality ingredients including condiments, sauces and oils for global cuisines. They are always busy supplying to both trade and retail customers around the country and beyond.
Studio 997 were commissioned to brand their fleet of 10 large refrigerated vans. They have a clean and bright, professionally designed brand identity complete with excellent guidelines to work with. We consulted carefully with their team and created a design that could represent their business effectively whilst on the move.

The challenge
Consistency is key
Our biggest challenge for this project is to ensure that each of the 10 fleet vehicles looked the same.
Vinyl is a stretchy substrate. How we store it and plan the print process prior to installation is critical to the quality of the finished job. Fluctuations in temperature and humidity can affect the colour and performance of the material. Controlling the uniformity of the brand colour across every vehicle is essential.
Printing a large volume
We planned our process to ensure that our machine was operating at the same speed and temperature at each pass.
Air temperature affects the cure-rate of the inks and, in turn, the colour value. Once printed we stored the vinyls in an air controlled chamber to be sure that the entire quantity of vinyl was fully cured before lamination.
If the vinyl is not cured correctly it will become “chewy”. This makes it difficult to install to the standard of finish we strive to achieve.
Top quality vinyl
We selected 3M wrapping vinyl for this project due to its properties for conformity to the vehicle and its ability to mould tightly to corners, curves and rebates.
We expect this brand of vinyl to last at least seven years if looked after correctly. Should damage occur, the customer can return the vehicle to us and we will be able to replace the section where needed. Vinyl is a cost-efficient, non-permanent way of branding an entire fleet. In addition, vinyl adds a layer of paintwork protection from UV and stone chips.
